Description
Decidedly more mature than its predecessor Electric Mud, 1969’s After the Rain is unjustly overlooked in Muddy’s oeuvre, Less focused on the psychedelia and fuzz, but noticeably heavier and grimier, it features most of the same young backing band as the previous LP- including the great Pete Cosey on guitar, A potent blues stew.
