Continuing their extensive rerelease project on Mute, Throbbing Gristle’s Part Two – The Endless Not / TG Now sees the formidable industrial pioneers rediscover each other post-break-up. Following a borderline miraculous appearance at ATP’s Nightmare Before Christmas in Camber Sands, TG took to the studio to hone a new sound more akin to searching rebirth. That’s 2004’s TG Now; that’s 2007’s The Endless Not. Both works are fascination studies in exactly how a reformed TG should sound – always abrasive, always transgressive, never the same.
